650 Professionals can’t be wrong: VILLAGE SUMMIT 2024 finishes on a high in Sydney
- Categories Key things to help you everyday, Workshops

Yesterday, more than 250 professionals came together at Rydges World Square Sydney for DCM Institute’s final VILLAGE SUMMIT event for 2024.
Following successful events in Brisbane and Melbourne last week, the highlight of the event was once again keynote speaker Lisa McInnes-Smith.
A high performance coach, Lisa challenged the room to close what she calls the ‘high performance gap’- the disparity between an individual or team’s potential and their actual performance.
Some of the key takeaways from Lisa’s keynote include:
- Fascinating: Lisa advocates for the importance of personal responsibility and shifting self-limiting beliefs to unleash potential.
- That’s not like me: This simple phrase stresses the importance of self-awareness and interpersonal skills in achieving high performance.
- That’s not like you: Another simple phrase leaders can use to foster environments where individuals feel valued and motivated to achieve.
- Focus on Habits: As professionals, Lisa encourages the development of routines that consistently drive improvement and close performance gaps. ‘So put your pin in’.
Throughout her keynote, Lisa encouraged people to take actionable steps to bridge the gap between where they are and where they aspire to be.
The 250 people who attended in Sydney takes the total number of delegates across the country past the 650 mark – making 2024’s VILLAGE SUMMIT the biggest DCM Institute event EVER.
Thank you to all our speakers
Across the country we had 44 speakers join us.
We would like to thank each of them for giving up their time toward moving the needle of professionalism in our sector. More importantly, for going on the journey of exploring what it means to be a high performing village professional.
