Village professionalism recognised at National Learning and Development Awards
The retirement living sector took centre stage this week at the Institute for Learning & Performance Asia Pacific’s (ILP) annual Learning and Development Awards, with strong representation across three major categories.
Held at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, the awards night brought together top learning and development professionals from around the country, as part of ILP’s broader Learning and Development Summit.
Retirement Living Sector Finalists:
- Learning and Development Provider of the Year – DCM Institute (Finalist)
- Team Excellence in Learning and Development – RetireAustralia (Finalist)
- Learning and Development Manager of the Year – Murray Humphrey, RetireAustralia (Winner)
The night was capped off with a major win: Murray Humphrey of RetireAustralia took home the award for Learning and Development Manager of the Year.
Murray’s win is a powerful endorsement of the work he leads at RetireAustralia, where he’s played a key role in embedding a strong culture of learning across all levels of the organisation. His leadership reflects the broader commitment of the retirement living sector to continuous improvement, professional development, and resident-focused service.
This recognition not only celebrates individual and team excellence – it highlights the sector’s growing influence in shaping high standards of learning and performance across the wider industry.
