Awareness is Essential for Retirement Village Managers
The next DCM Institute Masterclass, on Clinical Awareness for Village Managers, is being presented on the 25 & 27 June.
The increased care needs of residents living in retirement villages is a constant discussion point for Village Professionals, as is their commitment to facilitate better care outcomes.
Following on from the DCM Institute’s masterclass on Home Care in Retirement Living, the next topic to be explored looks to enhance the awareness of Village Professionals with regards to more clinical concerns.
This masterclass brings together two of experts in the field: Hayley Ryan, a world-renowned Wound Clinical Nurse Consultant from Uniting NSW & ACT, and Tara Wills, the Clinical Manager at Ryman Healthcare. Together, Hayley and Tara will share insights, tools, and resources designed to enable village managers to identify and address care-related issues effectively.
Tara Wills
Clinical Manager, Ryman Healthcare
Tara has worked in aged care for approx. 22 years in various roles. Before working with Ryman as a clinical manager Tara’s other roles included Infection prevention control lead, clinical care coordinator and Clinical Nurse Consultant. Tara holds a Bachelor of Nursing, Certificate IV in Health Science and is a member of the Golden Key International Society.
Hayley Ryan
Clinical Specialist, Uniting
Hayley is a highly accomplished nurse with 25 years of experience in acute and aged care. Hayley holds extensive qualifications in wound management, clinical care and an MBA, with an ongoing pursuit of a PhD. She is the past chair of the board for Wounds Australia, serves on various advisory boards, and has received numerous awards for her contributions to wound care.
