Village Manager on the rise at Uniting
A former financial planner, Sarah describes her career change into village management as a “horizontal change”.
“I jumped from accounting and financial advising into Village Management with Uniting. Whilst I knew that I could do the role of a Village Manager, I was quite surprised by the extent of the synergies between Village Management and my previous career,” she said.
“I am very passionate about building relationships and walking alongside my residents whilst ensuring the daily management of the Village is smooth and seamless for all.”
Sarah joined Uniting NSW.ACT in 2021 as Village Manager at Uniting Nareen Gardens Bateau Bay on the NSW Central Coast.
Uniting has recently promoted Sarah from Village to Area Manager.
“It has only been a week and I am excited to be supporting Village Managers across a wide geographical area and am looking forward to enhancing our systems and processes to ensure our residents have access to meaningful information to be better informed of the operations and the financial management of the village that they live in,” Sarah said.
“I also continue to manage my village which I feel blessed to do as my daily interactions with residents keeps me grounded and resident focused.”
