Kirstie, named the Retirement Living Council’s VIC/TAS Village Manager of the Year, first dipped her toes into the retirement living sector with Stockland in 2016 and spent her days specialising in contracts for incoming and outgoing residents as a senior legal administrator.
A significant change in career trajectory saw Kirstie become the Templestowe Community village manager in 2019, where she now cares for 170 residents living across 137 villas and 16 serviced apartments.
Levande was created after EQT Infrastructure paid $987 million for its retirement living division in February 2022.
“During these five years, we have seen Kirstie hone her skills in all aspects of management – much to our delight, this was reflected in a recent survey with Templestowe one of the top four happiest villages in the Levande family,” Templestowe Village Committee Chairperson Ron McWiggan said.
“We look forward to many more years with Kirstie and the management team as we continue to develop the ‘ultimate’ in retirement living.”
Kirstie – Levande’s 2024 Village Manager of the Year – joins DCM Institute participant Deon Moran, Village Manager of BlueCare’s Fraser Shores retirement community in Hervey Bay, on Queensland’s Fraser Coast, and former DCM Institute participant Melinda Akehurst, who is Community Manager at Aveo’s Bayview Gardens retirement living community in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The national winner will be crowned Australia’s Village Manager of the Year at the Retirement Living Council’s National Retirement Living Summit in Brisbane in June.
